Friday, March 29: Open day at CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment) in Nantes France. French Minister for Ecological and Inclusive Transition, François de Rugy, inaugurated the newly upgraded facility.
On site, KRATZER AUTOMATION installed and commissioned a new climatic chassis dynamometer within the climatic windtunnel. This unique testing facility now allows the creation of snow, rain, sun and dust, as well as storm weather conditions. Performance of the windtunnel: -35°C / +60°C, 0 / 100%RH, 100mm of snow on over 250m² surface. Wind speed: 140km/h Performance of the installed chassis dynamometer: 4×4, 250kW, 250km/h, 10000Nm, 7t per axle.
Michel Desjoyeaux, the famous French sailor, was impressed by the capacity and technology of the chassis dynamometer operating with our robot driver under snow conditions. Attendees from all over Europe came to witness the performances and possibilities of the climatic chassis dynamometer.
